Amber, the 28-year-old adult model from Australia, known as the country’s “most tattooed woman,” has spent an astounding $280,000 on her body art. Recently, she took to Instagram to showcase a jaw-dropping transformation with a throwback photo that highlights her nine-year journey of body modifications.
The photo she shared shows Amber at 20, before she was covered in tattoos, posing in minimal black underwear. At the time, she had only a few small tattoos, visible on her forearm and neck, which were far from the full-body artwork that would come later.
The before photo was contrasted with a more recent image from 2024, where Amber is seen in revealing floral lingerie. In this shot, barely any of her skin is visible, as it’s almost entirely covered with tattoos.
In the post’s caption, Amber humorously reflected on her earlier self, writing, “20 years old okay, I know, I f***ing know (lol).” She also shared the doubts others expressed when she first decided to tattoo her throat, with many warning it would ruin her life and career. “Every single person in my life told me it was the end for me – that throat tattoo. No career, no aspirations – just a ‘degenerate to society’ with a floating neck tattoo,” she recalled.
Amber confidently declared, “F***ING WRONG – on so many levels… unfortunately, for your egomaniac stalking. I’ve been to Hell and back and let me tell you – it was beautiful.”
To emphasize her point, Amber included a second image of a tattoo on her arm that echoed this sentiment.
Her followers were quick to react, with many praising her transformation. One fan wrote, “I wanna be you when I grow up,” while another said, “Wow, what a level up.” Others expressed admiration for Amber’s journey and sought advice for their own body modification plans, with one saying, “I would love to mod my body completely in the future. Hopefully, you can give me advice when I kick off that journey.”
This isn’t the first time Amber has surprised fans with a glimpse of her pre-tattooed self. Earlier this year, she shared another throwback photo that shocked followers. Today, over 99% of Amber’s body is covered in tattoos, and she has spent around $280,000 on her body art.
The Brisbane-based model is known for her bold ink, which includes satanic symbols, a split tongue, and even tattooed eyeballs, which she has said caused her to go blind for three weeks. Despite the setback, Amber has no regrets. “I went blind after tattooing eyeballs, but I have no regrets and won’t stop,” she said in a video while undergoing more body modifications.
Amber is proud of the dedication it took to become the “true version” of herself, and she’s earned the title of “Australia’s Most Tattooed Woman” online.
In 2022, Amber spoke about how her extreme tattoos and body modifications have impacted her life. She shared that having over 600 tattoos often makes daily life a challenge, but emphasized that she isn’t harming anyone in the process.
“I am getting very heavily tattooed, but I’m not harming anyone in the process,” she explained on a radio show with hosts Kip Wightman, Robin Bailey, and Terry Hansen.
While she understands that people are entitled to their opinions, Amber has said it’s distressing when others criticize her appearance in public, calling her tattoos a “ruin” of her looks. “Everyone has their own opinions of what beauty is,” she noted, pointing to other cultures that embrace extreme body modifications, like neck, ear, and lip stretching. “But, what gets to me is when someone expresses their opinion to me in public and comes up to me and says, ‘Oh, you’re ugly,’ or, ‘You’ve ruined yourself.'”
She added, “It’s very distressing to know that people have that strong opinion and they can just voice it without any repercussions.”
