A TikTok video featuring a tattoo with the slogan “defend, deny, depose” has gone viral after the same phrase was found engraved on bullet casings at the scene where UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot.
The tattoo in the viral TikTok video shows three bullet casings, each inscribed with one of the words from the slogan. It was created by Golden Hour Tattoo studio in Phoenix, Arizona.
TikTok users quickly flooded the comment section to share their support and admiration for the design.
“That was fast. I’m getting mine tomorrow,” wrote one commenter. “This feels like the beginning of an awakening is all I’m saying. I adore it,” another user commented.
“Mmooorrreeee!!! This is the second tattoo I’ve seen! Love it! Need more people getting them!!!” a third user added.
Following the shooting, authorities discovered three discharged casings, each engraved with the words “deny,” “depose,” and “defend,” according to the New York Post.
The slogan has since gained widespread attention online, with several websites and online stores selling merchandise featuring the phrase. Some items combine the slogan with the UnitedHealthcare logo, while others pair it with images or recreations of the video showing Thompson’s shooting.
The merchandise has been selling quickly, with GoodShirts offering a hoodie adorned with the slogan, which has already garnered more than 400 reviews. Other stores, such as Punk With A Camera and Off Color Decals, are selling shell casing stickers, T-shirts, beer can koozies, and other items referencing the killing.
