British model Bethany has invested around £40,000 (over $52,000 USD) in tattoos, transforming 98% of her body into a canvas of body art. She firmly believes that this significant investment has been worthwhile.
“The more body art, the better!” Bethany said. “It’s made me more adventurous and confident.”
Bethany’s journey into tattoos began at 18 when she got her first ink dedicated to her late family dog. This initial experience sparked her desire for more tattoos.
“It’s exhilarating. There is no feeling like it,” she enthused. “The more tattoos I got, the happier I was in my skin.”
Despite her enthusiasm, Bethany faces challenges due to her appearance. She has often encountered criticism and negative comments about her extensive tattoos.
“I’ve had strangers cross the street to tell me I’ve ‘ruined’ my looks and that I’m a ‘bad role model.’ I don’t understand why trolls think I’ll care,” she said. “When I’m walking down the street, people turn their heads to stare. I would have hated it before, but now I just don’t mind.”
Bethany’s partner, Josh Young, 28, supports her tattoo passion, helping her to disregard negative comments.
