The Golden State Tattoo Expo, a premier event in the tattoo world, is set to make its ninth appearance this year. Hosted by renowned tattoo artists Nikko Hurtado and Carlos Torres, and presented by Inked Magazine, the 2024 expo will take place at the Pasadena Convention Center from September 20 to 22. This annual gathering brings together some of the world’s top tattoo artists, offering attendees the chance to get tattooed, shop unique art and jewelry, attend seminars, enjoy live performances and burlesque shows, participate in tattoo contests, and meet celebrated tattoo masters.
The expo is family-friendly and open to all, with a range of activities scheduled throughout the weekend.
Marco Ceritelli, founder of the Golden State Tattoo Expo, expressed excitement about the event, saying, “There are so many different things for people to enjoy, whether they’re new to tattoo expos or have attended others before. From burlesque entertainment to shopping with our vendors, the event offers great value for the admission price.”
Carlos Torres, one of the event hosts, added, “As a host, I get to meet new people and connect with other artists. This year, I’m especially looking forward to the seminars and contests. With so many talented artists from around the globe, it’s a fantastic opportunity to see their work. For anyone interested in tattoos, this expo is a chance to witness the best in the field, get inked by renowned artists, and participate in exciting seminars and contests. It promises to be a fun celebration of tattoo artistry.”
The expo will feature vendors like Sullen Art Collective, Pontual Tattoo, Revolution Ink, Star Brite Colors, Eternal Ink, Zombie Sisters, Tommy’s Supplies, Ocean Ink, Hustle Butter Deluxe, Ultimate Tattoo Supply, and more.
A highlight of the event is the tattoo contest, open to all attendees. Competitions will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with various categories available for participants.
Attendees can also attend four seminars, including “The Art of Freehand Tattooing” by Konstantin Strokin, along with sessions by Valentina Riabova, Michael Perry, and Nikko Hurtado.
The Golden State Tattoo Expo will begin on Friday from 4 p.m. to midnight, continue on Saturday from noon to midnight, and conclude on Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.
Ceritteli remarked, “This will be a fantastic indoor event where people can enjoy cool air, art, food, drinks, and exciting installations. It’s a great opportunity to support talented vendors and tattoo artists.”
Artists featured at the expo include Pony Lawson, Stefano Alcantara, Jess Yen, Michael Hussar, Lilli Nonnweiter, Pedro Lopes, Jordi Pla, Alyssa L’Heureux, Boris Bianchi, Zack Singer, Maria Alvarez, Mat Rule, Dani Luz, Joey Perez, and many more.
