Tattoos have been an often-overlooked aspect of Carrie Underwood’s evolving style, mainly because many of them remain carefully concealed. However, some of her most visible ink carries deep personal meaning, particularly those inspired by her family.

One of Underwood’s most prominent tattoos is a daisy on her forearm, which becomes noticeable when she wears short sleeves. She once shared a picture of it on Instagram, revealing that her sisters-in-law also got tattoos at the same time. While they didn’t opt for identical designs, the theme of nature was evident—one of her sisters-in-law chose a bird tattoo, while another selected floral imagery. Underwood expressed her gratitude in the caption, saying, “God truly showed us great favor by putting us all together. These ladies are strong, kind, and faithful, and I’m so happy I get to do life with them!!!”

In addition to this floral tribute to sisterhood, Underwood shares a matching tattoo with her immediate family. She has a small heart tattoo on her foot, while her mother and two sisters got the same design inked on their wrists, symbolizing their strong familial bond.

Not all of Underwood’s tattoos hold deep meaning. While in college, she got another set of tattoos—a black cat and a four-leaf clover. Despite the contrasting symbols of luck, she clarified in an interview with Redbook magazine that these tattoos were simply spontaneous decisions. “I was in college and got them done. They don’t mean anything,” she admitted.

Speculation about another secret tattoo arose in 2019 when celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy posted an Instagram photo of a finger inked with the word “faith.” Since he tagged Underwood, many assumed the tattoo belonged to her. However, she and her team quickly shut down the rumors.

Whether she decides to keep future tattoos private or share them with her fans, one thing remains clear—Carrie Underwood’s ink reflects both personal memories and moments of spontaneity.
