Malaika Arora recently revealed a new tattoo at a red carpet event—though unintentionally. The tattoo, which reads sabr shukr, holds deep personal significance for her. She shared that tattoos mark pivotal moments in her life, and this one reflects her journey in 2024. According to Malaika, the words “patience” and “gratitude” have been a source of strength and perspective over the past year.
The year 2024 was particularly challenging for her, as she lost her father, Anil Mehta, in September. Additionally, her much-publicized separation from Arjun Kapoor added to the emotional weight. She expressed that tattoos serve as a reminder of significant experiences and emotions she wants to carry forward.
Malaika recalled getting the tattoo on the same day it was first noticed by the media. Initially covered with a plaster, she removed it due to discomfort, which led to the cameras capturing it. She also spoke about her previous tattoo, inked eight years ago following her divorce from Arbaaz Khan. That design features three birds in flight, symbolizing a fresh start in her life.
When asked about the possibility of finding love again, Malaika stated that she is not actively looking for it. She believes relationships cannot be forced and emphasized that patience has helped her reach a better mental space. While she remains open to love, she trusts that it will happen naturally.
Malaika also addressed speculation surrounding her Instagram posts, clarifying that they are not intended as cryptic messages. She explained that they are simply meaningful reflections, often inspired by her mother.
Her latest tattoo, much like her social media posts, embodies a mindset of resilience and acceptance.
