Visitors to the Villain Arts 4th Annual Tattoo Arts Festival at Park Expo Liberty Hall walked away with fresh ink on Sunday, as the event brought together tattoo artists from both the local Charlotte area and as far away as Ukraine.

In addition to talented tattoo artists, several of whom had appeared on the popular show Ink Master, the festival also entertained attendees with unique performances. A contortionist, a burlesque dancer, and stars from Ringling Brothers and America’s Got Talent made their appearances, adding extra flair to the event.

The festival ran from Friday through Sunday afternoon, offering tattoo enthusiasts the opportunity to get inked, enjoy artist competitions, and shop for tattoo supplies and merchandise.

“It’s a great place to see different styles of artwork, and meet people from all walks of life — whether they’re heavily tattooed or just getting started,” said Dr. Carl Blasphemy, the event’s M.C. and host. “It’s a fun environment for everyone, including families with kids.”

The festival’s days began with live performances and culminated in tattoo contests and show closings. The event will continue touring across the country, with stops in Chicago, Tampa, New Orleans, and other cities through the end of the year.
