As the nation mourns the passing of iconic industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata, a video has gone viral on social media, showing a man getting Tata’s face tattooed on his chest as a tribute.

Tattoo artist Mahesh Chavan, known on Instagram as ‘themustachetattoo,’ shared the emotional video. In it, the man explains the powerful reason behind the tattoo, describing Ratan Tata as a “real-life God.”

The man shared a personal story with Mahesh, recalling a time when a close friend was battling cancer. They sought treatment at a major hospital, but the high costs made it nearly impossible for his friend to continue care. That’s when they learned about Tata Trusts, which offers free medical treatment. His friend was admitted to the Trust’s care and, after a long battle, eventually recovered. The man reflected that this was just one example of the countless lives Tata Trusts has saved, which inspired him to live by Ratan Tata’s principles.

Netizens quickly reacted to the heartfelt video, showering praise for both the man’s gesture and Ratan Tata’s legacy. One user commented, “Best tattoo ever.”

Another wrote, “Kohinoor, India has lost.”

“The first person in the world who is loved by millions and has zero haters,” said another.

“Ratan Tata ji was truly unique,” another comment read.

“Legends never die,” someone remarked.

“We lost such a great personality,” echoed another.

“Believe it or not, everyone has a connection to Ratan Naval Tata in some way,” a user concluded.

Ratan Tata passed away on Friday after being admitted to a hospital in Mumbai for a routine check-up. He was cremated with full state honors at Worli crematorium, Mumbai.
