Renowned Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton is not just known for his racing skills; he’s also recognized for his unique fashion sense and lifestyle choices. During a recent event with Mercedes-AMG fans, the 38-year-old racer opened up about his tattoo of the late pop icon Michael Jackson.
Hamilton’s journey with tattoos began at a young age, inspired by his sister’s marriage to a tattoo artist. He started with a large cross on his back and has since accumulated 15 distinct designs, each with its own personal story that reflects his life journey.
The tattoo of Michael Jackson, which features the “King of Pop” in an iconic pose, is the most recent addition to Hamilton’s collection. He discussed it during a fan interaction at the Singapore Grand Prix weekend. “It’s not new; it’s the last one I got, but I need to get it touched up because it faded a little bit,” Hamilton explained in response to a fan’s question.

Among Hamilton’s many tattoos, his favorite is the one on his left shoulder, which depicts a cherished memory of his father playfully lifting him into the air. In a 2018 interview with GQ, Hamilton reflected on this special moment: “It was the single most special moment that I would have with my dad because he was a very, very serious man. Very, very tough. But in this particular moment, that’s when he was the happiest.”
