Taking a break from her “Gold Over America” tour, seven-time Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles recently added a new tattoo to her collection. Fans speculate that the small “J” inked on her left hand is a tribute to her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens.
Biles visited Syzygy Precision Tattooing in Phoenix, Arizona, where tattoo artist Sydney Smith created the piece. Along with the tiny “J” on her finger, she also received a neck tattoo that reads “Made in Heaven.” Smith noted that the entire process took about ninety minutes, allowing Biles to complete both tattoos during her brief break from the tour.
While Biles hasn’t officially confirmed that the “J” represents Owens, many believe it reflects her affection for him. The NFL star, known for his time with the Green Bay Packers, has played a significant role in Biles’ life, and the tattoo appears to serve as a heartfelt reminder of their relationship.
Biles has long used tattoos as a form of self-expression, adding personal significance to her identity as a public figure and athlete. Her Olympic medals symbolize her achievements and strength, but these tattoos tell a deeper, more personal story.
Sydney Smith emphasized that she treats all her clients with the utmost care, describing her experience with Biles as unique. “I treat all of my clients the same, but that was a terrific experience. Being able to do what I love every day is always fun!” she shared after the session.
Biles wasn’t the only athlete to get new tattoos during the tour. Fellow athletes Shane Wiskus and Casimir Schmidt also chose new designs, with Schmidt opting for the number 13 on his arm and Wiskus selecting a tarot card tattoo for his leg.
