This weekend, the Costa del Sol Tattoo Convention is back at the Príncipe de Asturias municipal auditorium in Torremolinos, bringing together tattoo and urban culture. The event, running from today (Friday) until Sunday, 15 September, features 100 tattoo artists from both Spain and abroad. Attendees will witness a wide variety of tattoo styles, ranging from old school to realism, neotraditional, and blackwork. In addition to live tattoo sessions, the event will offer contests, raffles, and workshops for people at all levels of interest in tattooing.

The convention’s program also includes a diverse range of urban art and music. Exhibitions of cartoons and graffiti, breakdance competitions, and various music and performance shows will take place. Featured acts include the rockabilly band The King of the Sun Coast, the retro-themed Vintage Experience based on New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and freestyle urban dance battles. On Saturday, attendees can also enjoy a display of classic American cars outside the auditorium.

This year, the convention will raise funds for charities Untap and Asamma, focusing on the use of reconstructive tattoos for breast cancer survivors and other aesthetic purposes. On Saturday, a special oncology conference titled “What Do You Need to Know About Breast Cancer?” will address key topics for those affected by the disease. Several tattoo artists specializing in areola reconstruction will be offering free tattoos to women who have undergone mastectomies.

Tickets for the event are available at the auditorium’s box office. Entry prices are 10 euros on Friday, and 12 euros on Saturday and Sunday. A two-day pass costs 20 euros, while a three-day pass is priced at 30 euros.
