With spooky season just around the corner, September brings the first Friday the 13th of 2024 this week. As fall begins, haunted houses and pumpkin patches are opening, seasonal drinks and treats are making their way to coffee shops and bakeries, and of course: Friday the 13th flash tattoo specials are popping up.
Central Texas is buzzing with tattoo parlors offering special deals for the occasion. From San Antonio to Austin and Belton, there’s no shortage of talented tattoo artists providing great offers on ink this weekend. MySA has rounded up four top Friday the 13th tattoo deals to help you embrace the spooky spirit.
Ink Couture Tattoos
Ink Couture Tattoos, with five locations across San Antonio and Austin, will be offering Friday the 13th flash specials all day. Prices range from $13 plus a $7 tip or $31 plus a $9 tip, depending on the size of the tattoo. The shop has hundreds of designs available, including dinosaurs, cartoon characters, spooky ghosts, and more.
These deals are cash-only, walk-in only, and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis from noon to 6 p.m., according to the shop’s website.
Iron Rite Tattoo South
Located about 30 miles north of downtown Austin in Georgetown, Iron Rite Tattoo South is throwing a full Friday the 13th party. Their flash tattoos, priced at $130, feature American Traditional designs like ghosts wearing cowboy hats and skeletons smoking.
The shop is walk-in only, open from noon to 10 p.m., and will only tattoo arms or legs. Payment is cash-only, and the designs are roughly palm-sized, with options for color or black-and-white ink. Iron Rite will also offer free drinks, food, vendors, door prizes, and more on Friday. You can even enter to win one of three “skip the line” passes by commenting on their Instagram post about which tattoo design you’ll choose.
Miss Lore Tattoos
At Miss Lore Tattoos in Austin, three artists will be offering their own unique flash designs this Friday. Prices range from $40 to $130, with designs featuring cat pumpkins, flying bats, and adorable Ghostface characters, as shown on their Instagram.
As with many Friday the 13th deals, these tattoos are first-come, first-served. The shop will be open from noon until around 10 p.m., and the artists will only tattoo arms and legs. Larger designs can be done in color, while smaller ones will be in greyscale.
Lowbrow Tattoo Convention
For those wanting to make a whole weekend of tattooing, the 13th annual Central Texas tattoo convention might be just the ticket. The Lowbrow Tattoo Convention will run from September 13-15, with artists tattooing from noon to midnight at the Bell County Expo, located at 301 W. Loop 121, Belton, TX 76513.
Friday’s tattoos will range from $40 to $100, with discounts of up to 50% on pre-drawn designs depending on the artist. Plus, the convention will be giving away more than 40 free tattoos on Friday, as noted on their Instagram.
Belton, about 60 miles north of Austin, could be worth the trip for these special tattoo deals.
