Jennifer Lopez is concealing her tattoo dedicated to her estranged husband, Ben Affleck.
Lopez, 55, made a striking appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, September 6, wearing a floor-length silver mirror-embroidered Tamara Ralph gown. The dress, adorned with black velvet bows, featured open sides. She completed her red carpet look with metallic platform heels, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Hassanzadeh diamonds.
While showcasing her ensemble at the premiere of her upcoming film Unstoppable, Lopez’s tattoo on her left rib cage was notably absent. (Affleck, 52, is a producer on the film but was not present at TIFF.)
Previously, Lopez had an infinity symbol tattoo that included her name, “Jennifer,” and her then-husband’s name, “Ben,” on either side, with an arrow passing through the center.
Jennifer Lopez consistently delivers stunning fashion moments, whether she’s on the red carpet, performing live, or simply out and about. Her iconic style, characterized by plunging necklines, thigh-high slits, slinky dresses, and mini skirts, is as renowned as her signature J. Lo glow.
Lopez and Affleck had gotten matching tattoos in February 2023 to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple. At that time, Lopez shared the tattoo on Instagram, writing, “Dedication ♾️. Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍 (Look for more details on VDay coming #OnTheJLo soon…) #CommitmentIsSexy #ThisIsUsThen #ThisIsUsNow #ThisISMeNow.”
Along with photos of her new ink, Lopez posted an image that appeared to be Affleck’s tattoo, featuring two crossed arrows with the letters “J” and “B,” symbolizing “Jennifer” and “Ben.”
Lopez and Affleck married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and held a separate ceremony the following month at Affleck’s property in Georgia. On the two-year anniversary of their second wedding, Us Weekly confirmed that Lopez had filed for divorce from Affleck.
The term “Bennifer” may evoke memories of frosted lip gloss and butterfly clips, but the couple’s story has come full circle. After nearly 20 years, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez rekindled their romance, first connecting on the set of the ill-fated Gigli in 2002.
A Hollywood insider exclusively told Us Weekly that the timing of the divorce was a significant blow to Affleck. Despite the filing in August, Lopez cited April 26 as their separation date. This move followed months of speculation about trouble in their marriage.
In May, Us Weekly confirmed that Affleck had moved out of their shared Los Angeles home, which was listed for sale in July. Neither Lopez nor Affleck publicly acknowledged the anniversary of their first wedding that same month. A source revealed that Lopez and Affleck were “doing their own thing” while contemplating a possible reconciliation. “Jennifer suggested they just take time to figure things out,” the insider said, noting that Lopez and Affleck were “living separate lives” at that time.
